    This collection covers the production period 1852 to 1969 in the working life of Maw and Co. Ltd. which was founded by George and Arthur Maw at Benthall, Broseley in Shropshire. By the late 19th Century, Maw and Co. had become one of the world's largest decorative tile manufacturers.

  3. Lilleshall Company Collection

    This collection consists of business and property documents emanating from the Lilleshall Company, spanning over 200 years. The Company's business over this period involved the mining of coal, limestone, and ironstone, as well as the manufacture of heavy clay products, heavy and light engineering, iron and steelmaking and finishing.

    In a project made possible through a Headley Fellowship with Art Fund, a collection containing some 730 orders undertaken by the Coalbrookdale Company ironworks in the late 19th - early 20th century has been brought to light.
