Harvest Green Man Workshop
Did you know The Green Man is an ancient symbol of growth and rebirth which takes on many forms across different cultures?
In this workshop you'll have an opportunity to make your own Green Man from clay, drawing inspiration from different cultural depictions of this traditional figure. Once fired, your Green Man will be suitable for outdoor use.
This symbol has appeared in various forms over the centuries. At Coalport China Museum you can see a Green Man on the spout of some Caughley jugs, and some plate borders which display a classically Roman take on this symbol of nature.
Our team of talented demonstrators are on hand throughout this workshop to guide and inspire your design.
