Help to make a difference
Over a period of nearly forty years the Museum has rescued and restored some of the nation’s most remarkable heritage in its very special setting. It proudly celebrates the nation’s industrial past by offering an unrivalled programme of visits, events, educational packages and manufacturing demonstration that make accessible a crucial passage in the development of Britain’s industrial and social history, whilst keeping alive connections with present day life and industry.
The Museum now operates on ten different sites spread over a valley which has become a World Heritage Site, and its collections and educational programmes have achieved National recognition. Around 300,000 visitors are attracted each year, of which 60,000 are children in organised groups.
But the cost of preservation, access and education never decrease. By supporting our work through a donation, volunteering your time or by a purchase in the shop you could make a real difference to enabling us to continue to protect and open the places, for which we care, for all. |
