Rainy days

Don't let the weather rain on your parade. You can have loads of fun at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums come rain or shine. There are many indoor museums and attractions meaning the wet weather won't spoil your family days out.

Fun things to do when it's soggy

  • Take the family to Enginuity, get hands-on with the giant exhibits - there's loads of space to build, test, play and discover
  • Explore the galleries and workshops at Coalport China Museum as you follow the free Snowy the Bear trail
  • You're sure to escape the rain underground so put on a hard hat and visit the Tar Tunnel
  • You can follow in the footsteps of the Quaker Ironmasters at the Darby Houses in the try-on costume area
  • A sudden downpour is the perfect excuse to pop into one of our tea-rooms or restaurants and enjoy something yummy

Enginuity - a great all-weather family day out

You can pop-in for an hour or spend a soggy afternoon here. Huge interactives, design challenges and a changing calendar of special school holiday workshops means kids can come back again and again.
