We’re celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday with some great family fun activities.

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May you can join our staff and volunteers in a parade through the town at 2.30pm – setting off from the Goods Shed, walking up Canal Street and ending in the Pleasure Gardens with a short speech and song. Kids encouraged to bring the flags they’ve made in the free craft activity in the Goods Shed.

After the parade, and if the weather is kind, we’ll have some outdoor toys such as quoits, stilts & skipping ropes for you to play with.

From Saturday 20 to Friday 26 May you can get arty with free craft and colouring activity in the Goods Shed – children can make a patriotic paper flag to wave in honour of the Queen, and they can colour in their own copy of her portrait to take home.

There’s also a free Queen Victoria trail to follow around the site – find the answers to win a lolly.
